2019 Award

The FIRST Award for Responsible Capitalism 2019 was presented to Guy Singh-Watson, Founder of Riverford.

Guy Singh-Watson, Founder of Riverford, received the FIRST Responsible Capitalism Award 2019 for having developed a company with over 50,000 customers a week, maintaining throughout his core belief that organic food should be accessible to all, and in so doing setting ethical and moral standards maintaining an excellence of product and service. Dr Thabo Makgoba, Archbishop of Cape Town, was awarded the Special Award for Advocacy. Vakhtang Butskhrikidze, CEO of TBC Bank, was awarded the Special Award for Responsible Capitalism in Adversity. The SME Dahrendorf Responsible Capitalism Award was awarded to Lourdes Maria Mena de Guerra, Founder of Lula Mena. The Awards were presented by HRH Princess Anne, The Princess Royal at a ceremony held at Lancaster House.
