FIRST Award for Responsible Capitalism 2009

Rt Hon Lord Howe of Aberavon CH QC, Sir David Manning GCMG CVO, Rt Hon Lord Woolf of Barnes, George Osborne MP, Sir Patrick Cormack FSA MP, Karim Khoja, Rupert Goodman and Andrew Witty

The FIRST International Award for Responsible Capitalism 2009 was presented to Sir Andrew Witty, Chief Executive Officer of GlaxoSmithKline.

A special FIRST Award for Philanthropy was presented to Roger Sant, Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of the AES Corporation.

A special FIRST Outstanding Achievement in the Face of Adversity Award was presented to Karim Khoja, Chief Executive Officer of Roshan. The awards were presented by Rt Hon George Osborne MP, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer at a ceremony and reception held at Marlborough House, London.
