The Rt Hon Lord Astor of Hever PC DL, member of the Chairman’s Advisory Group of the British-Kazakh Society, hosted a dinner on 9th January 2020 in the Cholmondeley Room, House of Lords to celebrate the New Year with Council Members, Members and guests of the British-Kazakh Society.
Rupert Goodman, Chairman of the British-Kazakh Society and HE Michael Gifford, HM Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan addressed the guests. Distinguished attendees included The Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy for Kazakhstan, The Lord Brennan QC, Sir Ciarán Devane, Chief Executive of the British Council, Rt Hon Christopher Pincher MP, Minister of State at The Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Asif Khan, MBE, Designer of the British Pavilion at ASTANA EXPO 2017 and Gani Bekenov.
