Specialist Publisher wins Queen’s Award for Enterprise

21st April 2010

Rupert Goodman, Chairman and Founder of FIRST, commented;
‘We are very honoured to receive The Queen’s Award for Enterprise which highlights FIRST’s international growth record achieved during the global economic crisis. FIRST’s mission to promote strategic dialogue between leaders in industry, finance and Government has become increasingly relevant given the current global economic and political instability and we were delighted to have played our part in the work of both the G20 London Summit and the recent Afghanistan London Conference. FIRST’s ‘Responsible Capitalism’ initiative has also helped global policy makers focus on the moral structure of capitalism.’

Lord Hurd of Westwell, former Foreign Secretary and Chairman of the FIRST Advisory Council said;
‘I am delighted that FIRST has won The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of its impressive growth in international markets during a period of considerable global economic uncertainty. It is especially pleasing that FIRST, a world leading specialist publisher and international affairs organisation, has won this prestigious Award in its 25th Anniversary Year.’
