Rupert Goodman elected Chairman of the British-Kazakh Society
Rupert Goodman, Chairman of FIRST, was elected Chairman of the British-Kazakh Society in succession to Lord Fraser of Carmyllie. The British-Kazakh was founded in 2002 to promote the best of relations between the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan.

FIRST appointed as Official Publisher for the 21st World Petroleum Congress
The World Petroleum Council has appointed the London-based publisher FIRST to produce the Official Publication of the 21st World Petroleum Congress. Held in Moscow, Russia from the 15-19 June, the 21st WPC will be the highlight of the oil and gas calendar in 2014.

Rupert Goodman and Lord Hurd comment on Second Queen’s Award for Enterprise awarded to FIRST
FIRST, the international affairs organisation and publisher of specialist periodicals, text books and special reports and producer of high level events, awards, mobile applications and cartographic services has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2013, the second time in three years. Founded twenty-eight years ago, FIRST covers over sixty countries and has increased overseas sales by 217% over the past three years. FIRST was also the recipient of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2010.
